Directions for Use

Step 1 — Prepare the lancing device:

1. Unscrew and remove the adjustable tip.
2. Insert a new disposable lancet firmly into the carrier.
3. Twist off the protective cover of the lancet and replace the adjustable tip.
4. Set the penetration depth — higher numbers for thicker skin, lower for thin or sensitive skin.
5. Cock the lancing device by pulling the sleeve until it clicks.

Step 2 — Prepare the meter and test strip:

1. Wash your hands and the testing site thoroughly.
2. Insert the square end of the test strip into the meter port with contact bars facing upwards. The blood drop symbol will appear on screen.
3. Obtain a blood sample using the lancing device.
4. Touch the pointed tip of the strip to the blood droplet, keeping the strip vertical. Ensure blood fills the confirmation window on the black side of the strip.
5. The meter will beep once the sample is sufficient. An error message will appear if the volume is insufficient.
6. The result will display after the meter counts down from 5 to 1 and will be stored automatically in memory.

Important Safety Information

For use only with CareSens N, CareSens N POP, CareSens N Premier and CareSens N Voice meters. Insert the test strip into the meter before applying blood. The meter will switch off if blood is not applied within 2 minutes of inserting the strip. For in vitro diagnostic use only — not for internal use. Keep out of reach of children. Store as directed on packaging. Do not use past the expiry date.
