Active Ingredients

Lidocaine 2.5% w/w, Prilocaine 2.5% w/w.

Also contains: Polyoxyethylene Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer 974P, Sodium Hydroxide, Purified Water.

Directions for Use

1. Squeeze the cream into a mound on the area of skin where numbing is needed. Do not rub in.
2. Cover with a Tegaderm or occlusive dressing and leave in place for the required time:
   • Before needle insertion: apply 2g, leave under dressing for 1–5 hours.
   • Before procedures on larger areas: apply 2g per 10cm², leave under dressing for 2–5 hours.
3. Your doctor or nurse will remove the dressing and cream before the procedure.
4. Always use EMLA Cream exactly as directed by your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.
5. Refer to the enclosed leaflet for dosing instructions for babies and children.

Important Safety Information

• Do not use on cuts, grazes, wounds, or skin with a rash or eczema.
• Do not use in or near the eyes, inside the nose, ear, or mouth.
• Do not use in the back passage or on the genitals of children.
• Use only as directed by your healthcare professional — do not exceed recommended dose or application time.
• If irritation, allergic reaction, or unusual skin changes occur, remove the cream and dressing immediately and consult your doctor.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store below 25°C — do not freeze.
