Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly works by delivering diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) right to the point of pain. Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly has a dual benefit, relieving pain and reducing inflammation.

The active ingredient in Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly, diclofenac, is also retained at the point of pain. With an added permeation enhancer included in our Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly formulation, more active ingredient is able to penetrate deep into the skin. It forms reservoirs in the tissue underneath, which means a sustained source of pain relief targeting the point of pain, where you need it most.

What is Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly used for?

Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly can be used for the temporary relief of local pain and inflammation:

  • Associated with mild forms of osteoarthritis of the knees and fingers.
  • Also for the temporary relief of local pain and inflammation in acute soft tissue injuries, including sprains, strains and sports injury and localized soft tissue rheumatism, including tendonitis and bursitis.

How to use Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly

Rub gently into the affected area 2 times daily (preferably morning and evening). Do not use for more than 2 weeks for acute soft tissue injuries and localised soft tissue rheumatism and not more than 3 weeks for mild osteoarthritis of the knees and fingers except on medical advice.

Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly contains 23.2mg/g of active ingredient diclofenac diethylamine, which is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID).

Do not use Voltaren Pain Relief Gel 12 Hourly:

  • On children under 12 years
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • If you are allergic to diclofenac or other anti-inflammatory medicines

Stop use and see your doctor immediately if:
You experience an allergic reaction.

While using this product:

  • Unless a doctor or pharmacist has told you to, do not use this product with other medicines containing diclofenac, aspirin, other anti-inflammatory medicines, or with oher medicines you are taking regularly
  • Unless a doctor has told you to, do not use this product if you have asthma
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose
  • Excessive use may be harmful
  • For external use only
  • Avoid contact with eyes.

Contains isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol and butylated hydroxytoluene as preservatives.
