Collection: Skin Conditions

Skin is the largest external organ in our body. Most organs are internal with the liver being the largest internal organ. The skin in our bodies weighs an average of 3.6 kg.

The function of our skin is to:

  • protect our body from environmental stressors like germs, pollution, radiation from the sun, and more
  • regulate our body temperature
  • receive sensory information
  • store water, fat, and vitamin D

With so many important functions to look after we often don't give the care our skin deserves.
